Our Model Of Care
At the Gender Education Network, we believe that true care for gender-diverse children must be informed and deeply compassionate. That’s why we define care across four essential dimensions: Social, Psychological, Family, and Health.
Each dimension plays a critical role in a child’s well-being, and together they form the foundation of a supportive, affirming life.
Social Care
We advocate for environments where gender-diverse children can thrive socially—at school, in community spaces, and among peers. This means helping create inclusive spaces where children are respected, referred to correctly, and able to form authentic, joyful relationships.
Psychological Care
Mental health is just as important as physical health. We work to ensure children have access to affirming mental health professionals who understand gender identity, developmental stages, and the specific challenges young trans and gender-diverse children may face.
Family Care
Families are a child's first source of love and protection. We equip parents, guardians, and caregivers with the tools, education, and support they need to confidently and compassionately raise a gender-diverse child. When families are informed and empowered, children flourish.
Health Care
We believe that every child deserves access to informed, respectful, and affirming medical care. This includes pediatricians, specialists, and providers who understand the unique healthcare needs of gender-diverse children and prioritize their dignity, autonomy, and long-term wellness.
